Making the world more beautiful one room at a time, Lance applies his extensive design experience toward transforming design dreams into reality for his clients. Since relocating to South Florida in November 2014, Lance’s design expertise quickly garnered award-winning accolades. President, owner and award-winning interior designer of Decorating Den Interiors based in Fort Lauderdale, his custom design work provides tailor-made solutions reflecting his clients’ personalities and lifestyles. Imbued with an air of sophisticated seaside and tropical influences, his designs range from sleek modern to textured traditional.
Most often working with clients in both South Florida and New England – often who own residences in both locales – Lance excels in creating environments with a smooth flow from both one room to the other and from the outdoors to the indoors. Whether a house, townhouse or condominium, consideration to the siting of a home in the landscape figures prominently into his designs for his clients. For example, in South Florida, large expanses of windows often demand versatile, multi-layered, multi-functional, motorized window treatments that – when opened during the day – showcase stunning ocean views and – when closed for the night – ensure desired privacy in the evenings. A master of the window treatment, Lance provides unique, custom solutions to meet every need and desire, from the sheer and simple to the motorized and layered. Working with a variety of workrooms, for example Leslie Excell’s Excell In Design, Lance provides a wide range of window treatment solutions.

A multi-award winning interior designer, Lance received three awards from Decorating Den Interiors (DDI) for his design of a great room for the home of a physician in Fort Lauderdale. He won first-place honors receiving the Patti Award, awarded by DDI’s certified interior designers, as the top designer from among a group of thirteen talented freshman designers. He also won second-place honors in The People’s Choice Awards – voted by the public – and third place in the Donayre Awards in a vote by his DDI peers. In addition, Lance won Best Living Room Great Room Design in Gulfstream Media Group’s Design Awards. The room featured in three of Gulfstream Media Group’s magazines: Boca Life, Gold Coast and Fort Lauderdale magazines.
Lance actively thrives in and proudly supports many of the social and cultural events occurring in South Florida. Whether completing the 165-mile, two-day bike ride, The Smart Ride, from Miami to Key West to raise funds and awareness for those affected by HIV and AIDS or donating to The Smile Train, an organization providing surgeries worldwide for children with cleft palates, he’s a dyed-in-the-wool philanthropist contributing time and money to both local and international charities. A patron of the arts, he maintains an annual membership with the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale and supports The Art Fair on the Water. A member of the Fort Lauderdale Design and Construction Professionals and the Business and Professional Group of Fort Lauderdale, Lance participates in many industry-related events, fêtes and galas to continually learn, celebrate and support his fellow colleagues, peers and philanthropists. Many fine industry-related organizations such as Gulfstream Media Group, Lifestyle Media Group, LUXE Magazine and Tropic Florida Living & Design proudly sponsor many of these events in which Lance participates.
