Hello. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me, Lance Colby Hatch, my professional experience and educational background, and how the combination uniquely qualifies me to assist you with your interior design needs. As an award-winning interior designer in Fort Lauderdale  and owner of Decorating Den Interiors, you’ll receive the benefit of my interior design experience and the convenience of viewing the latest in fabrics, window treatments, wall and floor coverings, furniture, and accessories – all in the comfort of your home or office.

Along with convenience, I provide full-service decorating expertise. Often, you know what “look” you seek, but may be at a loss as to how to “pull it all together.” That’s where I come in. My expert interior design services include the selection and installation of high-quality home products based upon your personal taste and lifestyle ensuring a cohesive customized look and feel upon your project’s completion. Also, I take into consideration the environmental factors unique to Fort Lauderdale and the South Florida area including often intense heat, sunlight, and humidity. The comfort and appearance of your home or office remains my priority throughout the duration of our work together. One look at my portfolio and you'll see the attention to detail employed in every client project.

As an interior designer, I work within your budget with our manufacturers to provide you – my customer – the best value for your interior design dollar. Remember, too, I provide a complimentary initial in-home consultation.

Prior to the expansion of my interior design business to the Fort Lauderdale area, I also partnered with the Dennis, Massachusetts design shop of Shoreline Interiors serving clients on Cape Cod.

A student of design, photography, and art history, I studied interior design at the Boston Architectural College in Boston, Massachusetts. Previously, I earned a Certificate in Professional Photography from The Center for the Media Arts’ Germain School of Photography and studied graphic design at the Pratt Institute, both located in Manhattan.

So, both my extensive experience as an interior designer and my education in interior and graphic design and professional commercial photography contribute toward refining the vision and execution of my clients’ interior design projects. Whether we’re optimizing living-room views of your ocean-side, high-rise condominium, personalizing a cozy bedroom in your seasonal cottage or seaside bungalow, or enhancing a professional office or foyer of your successful business, I look forward – with great enthusiasm toward our collaboration – to similarly help you create the home or office space of your dreams.

A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I also maintain a professional presence on Cape Cod and a residence in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
