Finding myself recently widowed, I seek a life expressing peace of mind, ease, and calm. And Lance delivers on my desire for just such a life at this point in mine.

Having relocated to Nashville, Tennessee from a pastoral New Jersey suburb, I knew I wanted a unique farmhouse aesthetic. Also, I love Tiffany blue and asked Lance if and how we could merge the farmhouse style with my affinity for Tiffany blue. From the beginning he assured me he would create “The Look” and feel I sought for the evolving me, my new life, and my dream home.

Admitting and accepting “I know what I like.” yet, having no idea “How?” to put my vision into existence, I handed Lance the reins. I trusted he would translate my “Likes” into the transformed space I sought. Well, to say that Lance captured and delivered on my vision is – at best – an understatement.

“Having moved into a newly renovated home in Fort Lauderdale, I wanted to work with a designer. I needed someone to come up with a design plan for my new home. Lance implemented a contemporary design in a neutral palette. The design provides the perfect showcase for displaying my collections of photographs and art glass. Lance’s professionalism and communication assured me that the end result would exceed my hopes for what I was seeking for the right look for my new home.

In fact, I’m now working with Lance to complete the design and installation of new furnishings for a sun room. I’m equally looking forward to another stunning room as a result of Lance’s handiwork. Based on these experiences, I highly recommend Lance as both a designer and business professional.“

“We have two differing design preferences. One is traditional, complete with Federal style, antique furnishings. The other is Caribbean beach cottage and includes whimsical decorative items. The space includes rattan furnishings and unique tropical lighting. As such, my husband and I knew we needed someone to help us pull together our differing design styles. In meeting with Lance, we appreciated his ability to listen to what we each wanted. He found a truly unique way to marry our clearly different “looks.”

Lance presented us with the idea of using our traditional, antique furnishings in the front entrance area of our home. Then he suggested a mix of new British Colonial and transitional seating for the adjoining living room areas. This includes a TV viewing area and a separate sitting space. Fabrics with playful sea creatures and tropical foliage cohesively tied both sitting areas together.

Most recently, at Lance’s suggestion, we added a trestle dining table and benches with a distressed finish. We placed the table parallel to a wall of sliding glass doors. These open to the pool area. The table completed the casual, beachside look we were seeking. Lance created a custom upholstered bench and throw pillows for the dining nook. This visually connects the kitchen and main living areas. He also selected a number of handsome pieces of outdoor furniture. With a weathered look and a welcoming light blue fabric, they perfectly complement our South Florida home.

Lance created an overall fantastic design. The design includes whimsical elements with practical functionality. Proud to call Lance a good friend, we also truly know Lance captured our imaginations. He also captured our hearts by making our home comfortable and enjoyable.”

“Lance is intelligent, creative, clever, and has an eye for detail. He is also a pleasure to work with. I hired Lance to create a stylish but relaxed design concept for my living/dining area. We incorporated existing furniture and accessories that I found in India, Nepal, China, Turkey, Egypt and Morocco. Lance coordinated all of these different styles by creating a Bohemian style for the rooms. He added new window treatments, reupholstered chairs, new pillows and other minor upgrades. Lance was able to take this mix of styles and create a look that is fun, relaxed and reflects my interests.“

“Lance knew exactly what we wanted for a desired change in our family room. He was working with a husband and wife team who described things differently. He understood us well enough to design and create a comfortable living space pleasing to both of us. We wanted to take our time on the project and he didn’t push. We really appreciated that, since we wanted to be sure of our choices.

His pick for our color palette focused us toward the shades we wanted. His suggestions helped us select the patterns and colors for a new couch, new recliner, reupholstered chair, new rug and new drapes. They all go together incredibly well. We have oak paneling, so paint considerations were not applicable. We did not know how difficult it is to coordinate the different fabrics, rug and drape samples. Lance expertly handled the job. We are very pleased with our “new” family room. We felt very comfortable working with Lance.“

“Lance did a great job for me and he was so easy to work with. He helped me select fabric to recover my two love seats and one sofa for our great room. He ordered everything and arranged for a great upholsterer to complete the pieces. I am so happy with the results. He listened carefully to what I wanted and needed. As a result, all the furniture came out looking terrific and is very comfortable. I wish I had more that he could help me with!

He was always prompt. That is not always easy with the traffic on Cape Cod. Above all he was nice, easy to be around and so considerate. As a side note, he also helped my parents with a few things when they moved into a new house. They had some very old Mexican dishes that they wanted to display somehow. Lance designed and hung up a beautiful array of this pottery on their family room wall. It truly is a work of art and the absolute focal point of their room. More than beautiful, my parents were so pleased. It is quite original and this wonderful pottery is finally out of boxes after many years. Stunning – and my parents think Lance is the greatest and has such a sense of style.

For me (and my parents) there is nothing he could have done any better. Our experience was pleasant and successful. I would work with him again any time on any project – he really is outstanding.“
