A scenic, historic town on the Outer Cape, Wellfleet boasts its famous drive-in movie theater. In the summer, it doubles as a flea market. The well-known Marconi Beach hails from Wellfleet. Its namesake set up a station here to conduct the first transatlantic wireless communication. Mass Audubon offers a six-trail natural refuge. The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Wellfleet, too.
Also, about 61 percent of Wellfleet’s land mass comprises a part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. And, when you think of Wellfleet, you’re bound to think about their famous Wellfleet Oysters!
